Bathroom Design in Chicago – a Classical Modern Shower Project from Runa Novak

With a rotten window inside the shower, it was obvious that this bathroom needed some major renovation work, so the owners decided to look at bathroom design in Chicago. Runa Novak fromIn Your Space interior design  was called in to redesign the bathroom and shower area. With the aid of some inventive ideas, she managed to do a fantastic job and the bathroom was later featured in an issue of Colorado Homes and Lifestyles magazine.

Before

The shower was located adjacent to the vanity and literally in front a window. As a result, the window frame was rotting from the water and steam, so the layout of the room needed to change

The shower was too small and dark

It was also very ugly

The shower was relocated away from the window

Floor-to-ceiling glass walls created light

A linear trench shower drain adds to the uncluttered feel

Hand crafted glass mosaic tiles add a touch of luxury

Asian statuary marble was used on the shower floor
