The bedroom should be your sanctuary, an escape from the stresses and strains of the world. The master bedroom in this Denver interior design project was dated and in need of a makeover. As a result, the client decided they were in need of professional interior design services from a top 10 designer. Runa Novak fromIn Your Space Interior Design was called in to redesign the entire space from the ground up.
The master bedroom had ugly stained oak ceiling, doors, windows and columns, which seriously dated the room
There were three different levels
The Santa Fe furniture and carpeting was hideous
There were built-ins in strange places
It was impossible to take a picture of the whole space because it was choppy and divided
The windows had mullions. These were busy and closed up the space even further
Three floors were made up to one floor
Runa dry-walled the ceiling and removed the stained oak
The columns were removed and replaced with 6’ round metal support beams. These were then painted black as a continuation of the design theme in the rest of the house
The mullion windows were replaced with floor to ceiling storefront windows
Runa added an outdoor deck and with sliding doors to match the new storefront windows
The walnut floors used in the hallway were continued into the bedroom
Tree wallpaper was used to bring nature into the room
Existing furniture was replaced with stylish modern furniture to compliment the room
Rugs and pillows with texture were added to make the room more inviting
A custom pop-up TV stand at the end of the bed was added
