Inspirational Kitchen Design in Denver by Runa Novak

Poor kitchen design in Denver can be a nightmare to live with, yet alone cook in. which is why this client called upon the services of top 10 designer Runa Novak from In Your Space interior Design. She described the existing layout as one of the worst she had even seen and it was abundantly clear that the room was in dire need of professional interior design services.

Before

The cabinets were so dated it was impossible to replace the appliances

Everything had to be gutted in the kitchen – nothing whatsoever was worth saving

The kitchen was divided into three areas – eating, cooking, and a bar, but the bar closed up the area even more

The kitchen lacked a functional work and storage area

It was very dark and there were not enough lights

Cabinets were hung so low that what little countertop space was available was extremely awkward to use

After

It was decided that a complete scrape and remodel was in order.

Runa took partitions out and opened up the kitchen into the Family Room

She continued the walnut wood floors form the Family Room

She made the kitchen modern and striking with black lower cabinets and polished chrome upper cabinets with light color walls

Stainless steel appliances by Thermador were installed to give a strong industrial feel to the new modern kitchen

A polished chrome and matt chrome chandelier was hung in the kitchen to match the one in the Family Room

A bar countertop was added in the Family Room side of the peninsula to make the kitchen part of the Family Room and also to provide extra seating for eating and entertaining
